ENTERCOM Classic Rock KSWD (100.3 THE SOUND)/LOS ANGELES has hired veteran major market personality TONY SCOTT as part-time host.
Said PD DAVE BEASING: "TONY brings a wealth of Classic Rock experience -- and life experience -- to THE SOUND family. His father worked for VOICE OF AMERICA, so they were stationed in KENYA, TAIWAN and HONG KONG, While attending TAIPEI AMERICXAN SCHOOL, TONY got his start in radio at the ARMED FORCES NETWORK TAIWAN. After graduation, he continued his radio career in WASHINGTON, PHILADELPHIA and DENVER, before moving to L.A."
SCOTT's voice could be heard on KRTH and KLOS, or narrating for DISNEY, THE HISTORY CHANNEL, DISCOVERY, TRAVEL CHANNEL, TLC and HGTV. ,As BOB COBURN's co-host on the syndicated ROCKLINE program, SCOTT has interviewed numerous rock stars. For many years, he was a DJ and programmer for the satellite-delivered 24/7 radio formats that eventually were acquired by DIAL GLOBAL and then WESTWOOD ONE.
