STEEL CITY MEDIA Country KBEQ/KANSAS CITY VP/Programming MIKE KENNEDY has announced that he will retire at the end of 2016, following forty years in the radio industry. After his retirement, KENNEDY will continue to work closely with KBEQ as a lead consultant.
KENNEDY was inducted into the COUNTRY RADIO HALL OF FAME in 2015 (NET NEWS 6/25/15), and shortly before he discussed his career with ALL ACCESS in a "10 Questions" feature here. Last SEPTEMBER (NET NEWS 9/4/15), KENNEDY stepped away from his on-air duties to focus solely on programming responsibilities. Congratulate KENNEDY here.
