Cox Media Group Hit With Another Photo Copyright Infringement Suit

Yet another photography copyright infringement case has been filed against a radio company, once again COX MEDIA GROUP and its affilated companies, for unauthorized use of photos on station websites.
In the latest case in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of NEW YORK, FAMEFLYNET, INC., BWP MEDIA USA INC. d/b/a PACIFIC COAST NEWS, VISIONS OF AMERICA, LLC andBARCROFT MEDIA, LTD. are suing COX RADIO, INC., COX MEDIA GROUP, LLC, and COX MEDIA GROUP OHIO, INC. for statutory damages of up to $150,000 per infringement for using several copyrighted photos, including shots of GWEN STEFANI, LARA FLYNN BOYLE, JANUARY JONES, JULIA ROBERTS, ROSE MCGOWAN, CHARLIE SHEEN, DONALD FAISON, and LAMAR ODOM, on several COX radio, TV, and newspaper websites.
