WUBG (Big 98.3)/Indianapolis Flips To Urban Mainstream As 'Real 98.3'

iHEARTMEDIA Country WUBG (BIG 98.3)/PLANIFIELD-INDIANAPOLIS has flipped to Urban Mainstream as "REAL 98.3." A loop began airing over the weekend, promoting “change is coming to INDIANAPOLIS” at noon (ET) MONDAY, OCTOBER 3rd.

WUBG flipped to Country in JULY of last year (NET NEWS 7/20/15) with PREMIERE syndicated "BOBBY BONES SHOW" handling mornings. iHEARTMEDIA Dir./KENTUCKY-INDIANA Country Programming JAY CRUZE has been overseeing programming since APRIL (NET NEWS 4/22).

REAL 98.3 will kick off with “10,000 joints in a row” commercial-free, featuring hits from major Hip Hop and R&B artists like DRAKE, NICKI MINAJ, CHRIS BROWN, USHER, JAY-Z and BEYONCÉ at Noon local time 

“We are NAP’s new home for Hip Hop and R&B,” said SVP/Programming-INDIANAPOLIS MIKE KILLABREW. “There’s no better way to establish that than by kicking things off with 10,000 songs in a row!”

In addition, REAL 98.3 will be anchored by THE BREAKFAST CLUB. The nationally syndicated show is set to air beginning NOVEMBER 3rd and features DJ ENVY, ANGELA YEE and CHARLAMAGNE THA GOD.

REAL 98.3’s full programming lineup will be announced soon. The new Urban Mainstream will be a direct competitor for RADIO ONE’s Urban-leaning Top 40/Rhythmic WHHH (HOT 96.3).
