THIRTY TIGERS has announced the shuttering of its Country Radio department effective immediately. The label launched its Promotion department in MARCH of last YEAR (NET NEWS 3/24/15). Those affected include: Dir./National and WEST COAST Promotion DENISE ROBERTS, Dir./EAST COAST Promotion TRACI GHOLSON, and Dir./SOUTHWEST Promotion GWEN FOSTER.
"Led by PAMELA NEWMAN, our promotion staff has launched and furthered the careers of numerous artists," said THIRTY TIGERS President DAVID MACIAS. "Though we were successful in garnering airplay, the tension between the expense of launching radio campaigns and our traditional approach of not owning the reocrdings could never be fully reconciled. I have immense respect and gratitude for the accomplishments of this team and the spirit in which it was done." VP/Promotion & Artist Development PAMELA J. NEWMAN will continue to focus on her CRESCENDOMUSICPROJECTS clients, in addition to working with THIRTY TIGERS on their Country endeavors. “The joint efforts of the long standing relationship between CRESCENDOMUSICPROJECTS and THIRTY TIGERS have given rise to many an artists’ career and I look forward to furthering our mutual track record,” said CMP's NEWMAN. THIRTY TIGER’S President, DAVID MACIAS added, “PAM has been the driving artist development force in our successes over the years and our most consistent Country music partner; I look forward to continuing our work on anything she is passionate about!”
Concurrently, SONY MUSIC NASHVILLE has signed LUKE COMBS to its COLUMBIA NASHVILLE imprint in partnership with RIVER HOUSE ARTISTS. COMBS previously partnered with THIRTY TIGERS to launch his current single, "Hurricane" at terrestrial radio.
