CBS RADIO WFNY (92.3 FREE-FM)/NEW YORK's JULIE SLATER is heading to LOS ANGELES in NOVEMBER to join VARIETY as a reporter. SLATER had been the midday goddess when the station was WXRK (92.3 K-ROCK), but has only been heard late nights and weekends since the flip to FREE-FM.
