Another Quiet Day In The FCC Database: Some Silent Translators, Some Deal Closings...

TUESDAY was quiet for station transactions in the official FCC database and so is today, with some housekeeping Silent STA filings and a few closings to report.

In the Silent STA filings, PATAPHYSICAL BROADCASTING FOUNDATION, INC. has applied for Silent STAs for K237EV/BIG SUR VALLEY, CA, K217EK/PALO COLORADO CANYON, CA, K207CN/SANTA CRUZ, CA, and K206BQ/HOLLISTER, CA because it also took the translators' primary station, KUSP/SANTA CRUZ, off the air on AUGUST 1st and failed to file separate Silent STA requests for the translators at that time.

Among the closings reported to the FCC, PROGRESSIVE BROADCASTING SYSTEM, INC. has closed on the sale of W292DO/MIDDLEBURY, IN to GOODRICH RADIO, LLC for $34,000.  The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast News-Talk WPRR-A (PUBLIC REALITY RADIO)/ADA-GRAND RAPIDS, MI.

COVENANT NETWORK has closed on the sales of W283BX/GALESBURG, IL (now W267CI/KANKAKEE, IL) and K277CF/HANNIBAL, MO to STARADIO CORP. for $50,000. The buyer plans to move the translators to rebroadcast News-Talk WKAN-A/KANKAKEE, IL and News-Talk WTAD-A/QUINCY, IL, respectively.

ARMIDA A. SAILLE has closed on the sale of K239BK/HEBBRONVILLE, TX to ROYAL FLUSH, LLC for $50,000.  The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast Sports KLGO-A (THE HORN)/ELGIN-AUSTIN, TX, which presently mostly simulcasts on full-power KTXX/BEE CAVE-AUSTIN.

CALHOUN SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH has closed on the sale of W257DB/PLAINVILLE, GA (now W276DC/RAINSVILLE, AL) to SAND MOUNTAIN ADVERTISING CO. INC for $25,000.  The buyer is moving the translator to rebroadcast Southern Gospel WVSM-A/RAINSVILLE, AL.

THE MOODY BIBLE INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO has closed on the sale of W257AR/DONELSON, TN to CRAWFORD BROADCASTING's KIMTRON, INC. for $50,000.  The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast Religion WXJC-A (THE TRUTH)/BIRMINGHAM, AL, which presently simulcasts on full-power WXJC-F/CORDOVA-BIRMINGHAM.

ROGER WRIGHT d/b/a PROSPECT COMMUNICATIONS has closed on the sale of W239BY/FLORENCE, AL to CANAAN COMMUNICATIONS INC. for $40,000.  The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast Gospel WQSE-A/WHITE BLUFF, TN.

And DAVID J. CUNNINGHAM has closed on the sale of K230AM/HEMPHILL, TX to GAP BROADCASTING, LLC for $45,000.  The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast News-Talk KTIB-A/THIBODAUX, LA.
