Nicole Sandler Cancer Update: Cancer-Free After Surgery, No Chemo, Return To Show Upcoming

Talk host NICOLE SANDLER reported to her fans and followers SATURDAY (10/8) that she has been told by her doctor that she is cancer-free.  The diagnosis after her surgery for lung cancer does not, she said, mean an absolute cure, but she has chosen to forego chemotherapy and plans to get back to hosting her show soon.

SANDLER said that she has consulted with her oncologist and with another doctor for a second opinion, and the two doctors agreed on her diagnosis; the two tumors were, the doctors decided, separate and distinct and, as such, that chemo would not be necessary.  She will, however, undergo scans every three months for the next two years and will also be checked for a growth on her brain that the doctors believe is a benign meningioma.
