WARNER BROS./WMN artist COLE SWINDELL penned an open letter -- a love letter, if you will -- to the city of NASHVILLE and the Country music industry as a whole; that letter has been published via HUFFINGTON POST. In the letter, SWINDELL details his move to NASHVILLE, the journey he took that led to discovering his passion for songwriting, and the gig that led to his record deal. SWINDELL also opens up about the emotions he felt after losing his father, which led him to pen his hit song, "You Should Be Here."
"NASHVILLE. This town. My family. Country radio...it was like everyone had my back, no matter what media partner, label, publishing company, or PRO they worked for, and I'll never forget it," SWINDELL shares of the support he felt after the loss of his father. "I realized that some of my heroes, like DIERKS BENTLEY, had also lost their dads and were there for me. Things like that make me proud to live in THIS town and proud to be a part of this format."
