WENK OF UNION CITY, INC. is selling Oldies WENK-A/UNION CITY, TN; Top 40 WAKQ (KQ105) and Oldies WTPR-A/PARIS, TN; Oldies WTPR-F/MCKINNON, TN; and Top 40 WWKF (KF99)/FULTON, KY to FOREVER SOUTH LICENSES, LLC for $500,000 ($100,000 down, $100,000 in an "advisory agreement" for the seller's principal TERRY HAILEY, $300,000 in a promissory note).

And the FCC has granted the transfer of five MISSOURI stations to a receiver appointed by a MISSOURI court over the former owner's objection; DENNIS WALLACE has been named receiver for BROADCAST MANAGEMENT, INC., licensee of Silent KQXQ-A/CUBA, MO; TWENTY-ONE SOUND COMMUNICATIONS, INC., licensee of Alternative KQQX (93X)/HERMANN, MO and Triple A KKAC (104.3 FMX)/VANDALIA, MO; and BROADCAST ENTERPRISES, INC., licensee of Silent KXQX/ELSBERRY, MO and Silent KIKX/WHEATLAND, MO, all over former owner RANDY WACHTER's objection. At the same time, WALLACE has filed for an extension of its Silent STA for KQXQ.
The Commission also granted the renewal of the license for SOUTHEASTERN BROADCASTING COMPANY's Gospel WKLF-A/CLANTON, AL and granted the sale of the station to GREAT SOUTH RFDC, LLC, which was filed in 2003 along with WEZZ (now WHPH)/JEMISON, AL. The Commission said that issues regarding the operation of the station, going back to the 1996 license renewal filing and cancellation of the license in 2003 (it was reinstated on AUGUST 31, 2016) were rendered moot bt the death of principal JAMES H. "JACK" DENNIS.
Also SARIAH HILLAM has relinquished the license for K257DO/WELLS, NV. The licensee earlier proposed to move the translator to KUNA, ID to rebroadcast KRXR-A.
In CANADA, the CRTC has approved a reduction in Canadian content percentage from 40% to 30% at Classic Hits CKJN/HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON; approved an upgrade for RADIO COMMUNAUTAIRE DE LÉVIS French community/Variety CJMD/LÉVIS, QC from Class A1 to Class A (from 216 to 1,000 watts and from 10.2 to 18.9 meters above average terrain); and approved an upgrade for RADIO COMMUNAUTAIRE INTERGÉNÉRATION JARDIN DU QUÉBEC French community/Variety CHOC/SAINT-RÉMI, QC from Class A1 to Class A (250 watts at 30 meters to 1,714 watts at 53.9 meters).
