Two more photographer lawsuits have been filed against radio companies alleging copyright infringement, but this time the allegations involve non-radio-website uses.
CHRISTOPHER SADOWSKI has sued ENTRAVISION COMMUNICATIONS over use of a photo of an ambulance outside the FOUR SEASONS HOTEL in MANHATTAN allegedly used without permission on ENTRAVISION's news site noticias.entravision.com. And ALEC TABAK has filed suit against TOWNSQUARE MEDIA for use of rapper TROY AVE after his release on bond for an attempted murder charge, allegedly used without permission by TOWNSQUARE's XXL magazine on its Twitter feed. Both suits were filed in U.S. District Court in the Southern District of NEW YORK and seek damages and profits or, in the alternative, statutory damages of up to $150,000 per work, plus attorneys' fees and costs.
