NABOB Fall Conference & The Power Of Urban Radio Forum Starts Today

The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BLACK OWNED BROADCASTERS (NABOB) kicks off the 40th Annual FALL BROADCAST MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE in partnership with KIZART MEDIA PARTNERS 16th ANNUAL POWER OF URBAN RADIO FORUM. The two-day event will be held TODAY and TOMORROW (10/12-13) at The WASHINGTON MARRIOTT GEORGETOWN HOTEL, 1221 22nd Street, N. W.
NABOB is the only trade association representing the interests of 200 Black-owned commercial radio stations and four commercial television stations around the country.
NABOB Pres. JAMES L. WINSTON told ALL ACCESS, “We are very pleased to be celebrating 40 years of NABOB. We have a lot of great speakers scheduled, including VALERIE JARRETT. With the election coming, we will have a lot of important things to discuss on our panels.”

The conference will get underway at 1p (ET) with a panel on “How Do You Choose a Format, and How Do You Know When to Change?" It will be moderated by AURN Pres./Programming Operations & Affiliations JERRY LOPES. The panelists will include GRAY COMMUNICATIONS' TONY GRAY, EMMIS COMMUNICATIONS/ WBLS PD SKIP DILLARD, HOWARD UNIVERSITY WHUR APD TRACI LATRELLE, iM4radio BROADCASTING NETWORK GM CLEVELAND SPEARS, and ALL ACCESS MUSIC URBAN/UAC Editor SAM WEAVER.
