Podtrac Releases September Podcast Industry Audience Rankings

PODTRAC's sixth monthly ranking of podcast publishers, for SEPTEMBER 2016, has no changes atop the top 10 from AUGUST but one new entry has joined the ranking.  AMERICAN PUBLIC MEDIA has jumped into seventh place, with NERDIST INDUSTRIES dropping out of the top 10.  APM's debut is the result, PODTRAC says, of "recent efforts to co-ordinate the placement of the PODTRAC re-direct in all (APM) shows."  In addition, PODTRAC notes that the top 10 saw 187 million total Global Unique Streams and Downloads for the month, up 2% from AUGUST.

The rankings, which only include shows opting in for PODTRAC's Podcast Measurement System (and missing some of the largest shows and publishers) and ranked by unique U.S. monthly audience:
