WFLZ/Tampa Names Kruz PD

iHEARTMEDIA Top 40 WFLZ/TAMPA BAY has tapped ROB KRUZ as PD, effective immediately. He will report to SVP/Programming-TAMPA BAY TRAVIS DAILY. KRUZ replaces JOHN MAYER, who relocated to NEW YORK CITY to be near his family and begin the hunt for a new programming opportunity.

“I could not be more excited for ROB to join our team at 93.3 FLZ, which already amazes and humbles me on a daily basis,” said  DAILY. “ROB is the perfect fit for this family and we can’t wait for him to help write the next chapter in the history of a very special radio station.”

KRUZ previously served as the PD/afternoon driver for WZFT/BALTIMORE. He has worked as on-air talent for WIHT/WASHINGTON, D.C. and WQAL/CLEVELAND. He began his radio career in DETROIT at WDRQ while he attended the UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN.
