A fan of the ST. LOUIS BLUES wanted to listen to CHRIS KERBER's play-by-play on CBS RADIO News-Talk KMOX-A/ST. LOUIS while sitting in SCOTTRADE CENTER watching the BLUES play the NEW YORK RANGERS SATURDAY night (10/15), but the battery in his SONY Walkman radio gave out... but thanks to social media and a hand from KERBER himself, all was not lost.
KMOX reports that the fan, THOMAS WALTER, tweeted, "Anyone coming to the @StLouisBlues game tonight bring me a AAA battery please haha! I think my radio will die during the game." After adding a tweet aimed at the BLUES' radio and TV crews, including TV broadcasters JOHN KELLY and DARREN PANG as well as KERBER, KMOX analyst and former BLUES player KELLY CHASE, and BLUES President/CEO CHRIS ZIMMERMAN KERBER came through with a battery and sent it along with a tweet:
It's on it's way!!! @thomasewalter @NHLShow @Panger40 @Chasenpucks39 @Jkellyhockey @CZimmerman9 @StLouisBlues pic.twitter.com/QLKurs4R4D

@chriskerber @NHLShow @Panger40 @Chasenpucks39 @Jkellyhockey LOL! You're not gonna believe this but the battery is dead. Oh well we tried

— Chris Kerber (@chriskerber) October 16, 2016@chriskerber @NHLShow @Panger40 @Chasenpucks39 @Jkellyhockey IT WORKS!!! pic.twitter.com/5cMXhtCr57
— Thomas Walter (@thomasewalter) October 16, 2016The BLUES beat the NEW YORK RANGERS 3-2; Ratings information for the game did not indicate whether the provision of the battery led to a spike in cume or quarter hour listening.
