The BROADCASTERS FOUNDATION OF AMERICA's 2016 Celebrity Golf Fundraiser raised $200,0000 for broadcasters in need this year. The tournament, chaired by ESPN's TRAUG KELLER, was held at BALTUSROL in SPRINGFIELD, NJ and drew over 150 broadcasters and celebrities.
“The funds come at a time when more broadcasters than ever are in need of assistance,” said the Foundation's Chairman DAN MASON. “Just recently, we helped 85 colleagues affected by the LOUISIANA floods with emergency grants of $1,000 each, and requests are now rolling in from broadcasters impacted by Hurricane Matthew.”
“We are pacing to distribute $850,000 in monthly and emergency grants this year,” added Foundation President JIM THOMPSON. “We are very grateful to our sponsors and to those who gave of their time to make this year’s Celebrity Golf Fundraiser a success.”
