The NASHVILLE ENTREPRENEUR CENTER (EC) and the COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATON (CMA) have extended their partnership for the PROJECT MUSIC ACCELERATOR for an additional two YEARS, through 2018. Launched in 2014, the PROJECT MUSIC ACCELERATOR has graduated 13 music-tech startups and a non-profit via its 16-week high intensity boot camp at the NASHVILLE EC. Each startup is then awarded a $30,000 to $50,000 investment to launch their businesses (NET NEWS 7/16/15).
"We recognize the value of supporting entrepreneurs as they help to innovate and ensure the future of the ever-evolving music business," said CMA SVP/Marketing & Strategic Partnerships DAMON WHITESIDE. "As CMA's mission is to support the growth of Country music globally, this program based in NASHVILLE, the center of our industry, will help to continue to build the success of our industry." Added CMA and EC Board Member JOE GALANTE, "PROJECT MUSIC continues to help passionate entrepreneurs solve TODAY's industry problems. The program gives entertainment industry executives and their teams the opportunity to engage with entrepreneurs to tackle the toughest challenges and big opportunities they would normally not have time to address."
