EMI NASHVILLE duo BROTHERS OSBORNE participated in the CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS' "CENTER ICE CHALLENGE" on TUESDAY (10/18) between the second and third periods of the BLACKHAWKS versus PHILADELPHIA FLYERS game. The contest consisted of the BROTHERS each shooting a puck at wood boards with small holes in front of each goal from center ice to determine the amount of money that they would earn for charity. JOHN OSBORNE succeeded on the first goal, earning a $500 donation from the BLACKHAWKS to a charity of the duo's choosing. TJ followed and landed the puck for another $500 donation.
"I was a little worried we'd walk out, totally slip, and make a fool of ourselves," said TJ. Added JOHN, "I think the most amazing accomplishment is that we didn't fall over. Considering the fact I don't think we've ever played hockey in our entire lives, we played pretty well." And TJ pointed out, "Not to mention, we raised money for a great cause." The $1,000 the BROTHERS raised during the "CENTER ICE CHALLENGE" will be donated to CHICAGO BEYOND, a privately held organization that seeks to create opportunity and access for the young people of CHICAGO in school, career, and life by investing in innovative ideas and scalable programs to amplify impact in youth safety and educational attainment.
