Derek Scott Named Baseball, Men's Basketball Radio Voice For University Of South Carolina

The UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA and GAMECOCK IMG SPORTS MARKETING have named DEREK SCOTT as the new play-by-play voice of GAMECOCKS baseball and men's basketball on flagship CUMULUS Sports WNKT (107.5 THE GAME)/COLUMBIA, SC and the school's radio network.  SCOTT, who has been calling various GAMECOCKS sports on television (for the school's self-produced games on SEC NETWORK PLUS) and radio, is replacing ANDY DEMETRA, who left to call GEORGIA TECH sports.

"While searching for the next play-by-play voice for men's basketball and baseball, we came across many talented individuals," said SOUTH CAROLINA Athletics Director RAY TANNER. "However, during the interview process and after talking with our coaches and staff, DEREK emerged as our top candidate. I'm pleased that we can continue to have DEREK as part of our GAMECOCK family."
