Cumulus/Huntsville Hosts A Fun Debate Party

The CUMULUS/HUNTSVILLE, AL cluster, including Country WWFF (93.3 NASH ICON), Top 40 WZYP, and Urban AC WHRP teamed up to host a "SKATE AND DEBATE VIEWING PARTY" for the final Presidential Debate on WEDNESDAY night (10/19) at a local amusement venue, THE INSANITY COMPLEX. The event space features roller skating, arcade, rock climbing, batting cages, and more; the stations invited listeners to bring their family to the event. While the parents watched the debate, the kids were free to skate and enjoy the venue -- and if parents grew bored of the debate, they could also leave the designated viewing party room and skate.

"When listeners arrived, they 'voted' for their favorite candidate," said CUMULUS/HUNTSVILLE OM STEVE SMITH. "Names were selected from our 'ballot boxes' to win concert tickets for MARTINA MCBRIDE, DOLLY PARTON, PANIC AT THE DISCO, BOB DYLAN, FANTASIA, PATTI LABELLE, and more. We even had 'DONALD' and 'HILLARY' skating around the venue, as well. Lots of listeners grabbed selfies with both candidates. We also worked with voting organization HEAD COUNT to register our listeners to vote at our event. The deadline to register in ALABAMA is MONDAY (10/24), so this provided an easy way for our listeners be part of the process as we pick our next President."
