FLINN BROADCASTING Sports WXWX (ESPN 96.3)/MARIETTA-TUPELO, MS has returned to Sports, this time simulcasting sister Sports WHBQ-A-WPGF-LP (SPORTS 56)/MEMPHIS.
WXWX and sister WWMR/TUPELO had been leased to TELE-SOUTH COMMUNICATIONS, which programmed the prior Sports format with ESPN RADIO, and a stunt began on WXWX when the lease expired on AUGUST 1st. The "SUPERTALK MISSISSIPPI" News-Talk programming heard on WWMR moved to TELE-SOUTH's WCNA/POTTS CAMP-TUPELO, with WWMR going Country as OUTLAW 102.9 with a 20,000-hits-in-a-row stunt. CRAIG HORTON's "MISSISSIPPI SPORTS TODAY," which aired on the TELE-SOUTH version of WXWX, is now on TELE-SOUTH Classic Hits WFTA (POWER 101)/TUPELO.
