CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WDKF (CHANNEL 94.5)/DAYTON PD WES McCAIN has accepted the PD post at sister Top 40 WNOK and Urban WXBT (100.1 THE BEAT). He's replacing TOBY KNAPP, who was PD at WNOK and interim PD at WXBT before leaving to join sister Top 40 WIHT (HOT 99.5)/WASHINGTON as APD/MD/afternoon personality.
CC/COLUMBIA OM L.J. SMITH told ALL ACCESS, "WES' experience with both Mainstream and Rhythmic formats makes him 'the guy' for this specialized job!" His first day in the building will be MONDAY, NOVEMBER 6th.
McCAIN, who has been at WDKF since JANUARY 2005, told ALL ACCESS, "First, I want to thank CC/COLUMBIA Market Mgr. TOM BUSTARD, Dir./Programming L.J. SMITH, and RVPP TODD SHANNON for their confidence in my programming abilities. I look forward to continuing the heritage Top 40 success in the market that WNOK enjoys and continuing to grow 100.1 THE BEAT. This will be a real treat joining the awesome staff in COLUMBIA in a couple of weeks. All of this would not be possible without the backing of CC/DAYTON OM TONY TILFORD and VP/Market Mgr. CHUCK FREDRICK."
Back at WDKF, APD/MD night stud RYAN DRAKE will take over programming duties on an interim basis.
