Georgia FM Sold, Mid-West Family Buys Pair Of FM Translators For Madison AMs

BROADCAST EXECUTIVES CORP. is selling Urban WOAH/GLENNVILLE, GA to LIBERTY RADIO, INC. for $200,000.  The two-part transaction first transfers control from the estate of the late JAMES L. HOFFMAN to executor JAMES RYAN HOFFMAN, then to LIBERTY.

In other filings with the FCC, WRVM, INC. is selling W225AV/IRONWOOD, MI and W236AS/PARK FALLS, WI to MID-WEST FAMILY BROADCASTING's MID-WEST MANAGEMENT INC. for $72,000.  The buyer plans to move the translators to rebroadcast Spanish Variety WLMV-A (LA MOVIDA)/MADISON and Sports WOZN-A (106.7FM/1670AM THE ZONE)/MADISON, respectively; the latter presently simulcasts on full-power rimshot WOZN-F/MOUNT HOREB-MADISON.

FRIENDS OF CHRISTIAN RADIO, INC. is selling W239CF/ALBION, MI to LAFAYETTE TV, LLC for $38,000.  The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast Sports WSHY-A (FOX SPORTS 1410)/LAFAYETTE, IN, which it just yesterday filed to buy from ARTISTIC MEDIA PARTNERS, INC.

COVENANT NETWORK is selling K298BW/JACKSON, MO to WIBH, INC. for $25,000.  The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast Classic Country WIBH-A/ANNA, IL.

E-STRING WIRELESS, LTD is selling K288GU/LUFKIN, TX to MARTIN BROADCASTING, INC. for $35,000.  The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast Gospel KANI-A (GREAT GOSPEL 1500)/WHARTON, TX.

SUPER WAVES, LLC has requested an extension of its Silent STA for WLZT/WORTHINGTON, IN while it builds a new tower at a new site.

LKCM RADIO GROUP, L.P. (LKCM RG LICENSES, LLC) has closed on the sale of LAS VEGAS rimshot Dance KYLI (PULSE 96.7)/BUNKERVILLE, NV and booster KYLI-FM1/SUNRISE MANOR, NV to FARMWORKER EDUCATIONAL RADIO NETWORK, INC. for $850,000.  The broker for the deal was KALIL AND CO.

And VIRGINIA TECH FOUNDATION, INC. has closed on the sale of W222BW/BRISTOL, VA (now W233CK/ROANOKE, VA) and W275CD/VINTON, VA to MEL WHEELER, INC. for $50,000.  The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast News-Talk WFIR-A/ROANOKE and Sports WPLY-A/ROANOKE, respectively.

The Commission also approved the sale by HARNEY COUNTY RADIO, LLC of Silent KBNH-A and  KORC/BURNS, OR to STARLIGHT BROADCASTING LLC for $30,000, over the objection of TONI CARSON, who had been appointed receiver for the seller and whose application to involuntarily transfer the licenses to her was withdrawn when STARLIGHT objected to the transfer and her appointment was set aside by an OREGON circuit court.
