CRS Accepting Rusty Walker Scholarship Applicants

COUNTRY RADIO SEMINAR (CRS) is now accepting applications for its 5TH ANNUAL RUSTY WALKER SCHOLARSHIP program. Recipients will receive an all-expense paid trip and attendance to COUNTRY RADIO SEMINAR (CRS) 2017, set for WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 22nd through FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 24th at NASHVILLE's OMNI HOTEL.
Interested candidates can apply now through MONDAY, NOVEMBER 7th by filling out an online application and submitting a paragraph explaining why he/she should be considered as a RUSTY WALKER SCHOLAR. Eligible applicants must be a full-time radio station employee and first time CRS attendee; three individual scholarships will be awarded full CRS 2017 registration, airfare, and hotel expenses for three nights, and will be recognized at the CRS 2017 opening ceremonies. This scholarship program was created to honor the memory COUNTRY RADIO HALL OF FAME member RUSTY WALKER, who was instrumental in the mentoring and development of many current and former Country radio professionals. WALKER passed away in MAY 2012 at the age of 59 (NET NEWS 5/22/12).
