Radio Talkers' Comments On Hillary Clinton Draw Backlash (And Even A Secret Service Visit)

SALEM News-Talk WIND-A (AM 560 THE ANSWER)/CHICAGO host and former Congressman JOE WALSH used his Twitter account to post what appears to be a threat of violence -- usng a particularly Revolutionary War-era weapon, or perhaps something more personal -- if DONALD TRUMP loses the presidential election.

The tweet read, "On November 8th, I'm voting for Trump.  On November 9th, if Trump loses, I'm grabbing my musket. You in?"

The tweet drew responses suggesting that WALSH shoot himself, that he would be going to prison, and that he is "trying to gin up an armed resurrection in case you don't get your way."   CNN Anchor and Chief WHITE HOUSE Correspondent JAKE TAPPER asked, "What exactly does that mean?"  NATIONAL REVIEW columnist CHARLES C.W. COOKE asked of "grabbing my musket," "Is that a euphemism?," a joke echoed by several other comments.  WALSH did not immediately respond to the criticism.

Meanwhile, the ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION's RODNEY HO reports that CUMULUS News-Talk WYAY (NEWSRADIO 106.7)/ATLANTA host SHANNON BURKE earned a visit from the Secret Service for comments he made on TUESDAY's show about HILLARY CLINTON suggesting that the way AMERICA could survive a CLINTON administration would be to take it back by force.   BURKE told HO in a text that there had been a visit from the Secret Service and "There was a misunderstanding and it is now resolved."  BURKE was on the air this morning and the matter was not raised.
