DELL LOY HANSEN's BROADWAY MEDIA LS, LLC is selling Silent KAOX/SHELLEY, ID to M. KENT FRANDSEN's FRANDSEN MEDIA COMPANY, LLC for $25,000 and cost of equipment and marketing changes for three other stations that will be modified to allow upgrades, including KNYN/FORT BRIDGER, WY, KGNT/SMITHFIELD, UT, and KLZX WESTON, ID.
In other filings with the FCC, GLADES MEDIA COMPANY, LLC is selling W263CJ/IMMOKALEE, FL to ALLIANCE BROADCASTING NETWORK, INC. for $55,000. The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast Caribbean WAVS-A/DAVIE, FL.
VERMONT PUBLIC RADIO is selling W272AU/HANOVER, NH to KURT JACKSON for $32,000. The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast SUCCESS SIGNAL BROADCASTING Oldies WARE-A (REAL OLDIES 1250)/WARE, MA.
TODD BOWERS is selling his half of WATS BROADCASTING, INC., licensee of AC simulcast WATS-A/SAYRE, PA and WAVR/WAVERLY, NY (CHOICE 102) , to CHARLES C. CARVER, JR. for $200,000 ($50,000 down, $150,000 in a 2% promissory note at $1,000 per month.
RADIO TRAINING NETWORK, INC. is selling W248CI/BREVARD, NC to VANCE PATTERSON for $50,000. The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast Classic Hits WSVM-A/VALDESE, NC.
MT COMMUNICATIONS LLC has requested an extension of its Silent STA for KRDS/SILVERTON, CO while it builds at a new site.RADIO 74 INTERNATIONALE has closed on the sale of K242CM/SALEM, AR (now K279CT/THAYER, MO) to E-COMMUNICATIONS, LLC for $17,500. The buyer is moving the translator to rebroadcast Gospel KALM-A (AM 1290 THE GIFT)/THAYER, MO. RADIO 74 INTERNATIONALE has also closed on the sale of W251CG/AVON PARK, FL to the Board of Trustees of the UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA for $52,500; the buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast Sports WRUF-A (ESPN GAINESVILLE 95.3/GAINESVILLE, FL, which presently rebroadcasts on W237EJ.
AMERICAN EDUCATIONAL BROADCASTING, INC. has closed on the sale of K291CB/CARSON CITY, NV (now K285FE/REDDING, CA) to MAPLETON COMMUNICATIONS, LLC for $40,000.
And FRIENDS OF CHRISTIAN RADIO, INC. has closed on the sale of W249CQ/COFAX, IN to SALEM's CARON BROADCASTING for $45,000; the buyer plans to move that translator to rebroadcast News-Talk WSDZ-A (1260 AM THE ANSWER)/BELLEVILLE-ST. LOUIS. FRIENDS has also closed on the sale of W263CS/BATTLE CREEK, MI (now W262CY/CLEVELAND) to SALEM's CARON BROADCASTING, INC. for $50,000; the buyer is moving the translator to rebroadcast Religion WHKW-A (1220 AM THE WORD)/CLEVELAND. And FRIENDS has closed on the sale of W256CO/ANGOLA, IN (now W260CY/CLEVELAND) to SALEM's COMMON GROUND BROADCASTING, INC. for $50,000; the buyer is moving the translator to rebroadcast News-Talk WHK-A (AM 1420 THE ANSWER)/CLEVELAND.
The Commission also issued short-term renewals of the licenses of RODGSON, INC. for Country WSDQ-A/DUNLAP, TN and STONE/COLLINS COMMUNICATIONS, INC. for Country WEPG-A (THE RIVER)/SOUTH PITTSBURG, TN after the licensees certified that prior rules violations for having no public file, no locked gate and fence at the towers, and (for WSDQ) non-functioning EAS equipment had been resolved. The renewals paved the way for the Commission to approve the stations' sale to TRAVIS HICKMAN for $1 each.
