Oldies Out, MOViN In For Jacksonville

As reported on ALL ACCESS earlier this morning, RENDA Oldies WKQL (COOL 100.7)/JACKSONVILLE has ditched the format. At 1p the station became WMUV (MOViN 100.7 FM), picking up the ALAN BURNS AND ASSOCIATES format that is sweeping the country. 

"We are very excited about this new direction for 100.7 FM,"  said GM GARY SPURGEON. "The new MOViN 100.7 FM will bring a fresh and fun sound to the radio in Jacksonville. When the music makes you feel good, you feel good. That’s the basics behind the new MOViN 100.7."

Among the newly unemployed is afternoon drive jock TOM MURPHY, a market veteran of such stations as WAPE and the old WKQL (COOL 96.9), as well as BOSTON stations WRKO, WVBF and WEEI. He is immediately available in the market.
