WARNER MUSIC GROUP (WMG) has announced the creation of a new center of excellence for Shared Services in NASHVILLE, a move also that sees KRIS AHREND promoted to Pres./Shared Services effective immediately, and current WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE SVP/Finance KEN WILLIAMS joining as CFO, effective in early 2017.
Also coming early next year: WMG will move some of its US departments, including the US Accounting Operations, Cash Management, and Recorded Music Rights Administration under one roof in NASHVILLE’s CITY CENTER, employing up to 175 staffers. Some will relocate from NEW YORK and LOS ANGELES, while others will be new additions. WARNER MUSIC’s longtime location on MUSIC ROW will remain, led by WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE Chairman/CEO JOHN ESPOSITO.
“As we all know, NASHVILLE is not only home to the best artists and songwriters, but it has a vibrant and growing economy,” said ESPOSITO. “The top talent in the world can be found here, our company already has a strong presence in the community, and the City and State have been tremendous at helping us establish our new location downtown. NASHVILLE is the perfect home for WARNER MUSIC’s newly created division, and I look forward to welcoming our colleagues to MUSIC CITY.”
