EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION has won the bidding for the license and assets of bankrupt PATAPHYSICAL BROADCASTING FOUNDATION, INC. Silent KUSP/SANTA CRUZ, CA, reports CURRENT.

EMF, parent of the Contemporary Christian K-LOVE and AIR1 networks, bid $605,000, beating out local group MEDIA WATCH/CENTRAL COAST COMMUNITY RADIO and SANTA MONICA COLLEGE noncommercial Triple A KCRW/SANTA MONICA-LOS ANGELES, which will be the backup bidder at $600,000 if the EMF deal fails to close.   MEDIA WATCH/CENTRAL COAST COMMUNITY RADIO is proceeding with a crowdfunding effort to start a new station in the MONTEREY BAY area and aims to raise $500,000 to do so.
