CMA week got off to an early start last NIGHT (10/30), as performing rights organization SESAC recognized its most successful songwriters during the annual SESAC NASHVILLE MUSIC AWARDS.
Songwriter of the Year honors went to JOSH HOGE, whose 2016 output included “I’m Comin’ Over” for CHRIS YOUNG and “Think Of You,” a duet featuring YOUNG and CASADEE POPE. SESAC’s Song of the Year for 2016 was “Somewhere On A Beach,” penned by MICHAEL TYLER and JARON BOYER. SONY ATV/EMI FORAY PUBLISHING and WRITE 2 BE FREE MUSIC won Publisher of the Year honors.
