ALL ACCESS extends our deepest and most profound sympathies to family, friends, and colleagues of NEW REVOLUTION regional DOUG BAKER, who passed away TODAY (11/2) following a battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as LOU GEHRIG’s disease.
According to NEW REVOLUTION’s ROB DALTON, “DOUG was diagnosed with ALS in DECEMBER 2014. He walked through this incredibly difficult and debilitating disease with courage and dignity; he passed peacefully.”
BAKER joined NEW REVOLUTION in 2010 (NET NEWS 10/26/10), following an eight year career at RCA NASHVILLE in which he eventually rose to Dir./National Promotion. BAKER also served as Dir./National Promotion for C05 RECORDS. Like many promo reps, BAKER migrated to records after a successful radio career, which included programming and on-air stops at legendary outlets KNIX/PHOENIX and WSIX/NASHVILLE. No date yet, but services will be held in ANDERSON, IN.
