WGNE/Jacksonville Taps Ashley Wilson For APD/MD Duties

RENDA BROADCASTING Country WGNE/JACKSONVILLE has tapped ASHLEY WILSON for APD/MD duties effective WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 16th. WILSON fills the role left vacant when ABBY ZELLMER segued to her current position as iHEARTMEDIA Country WDRM/HUNTSVILLE, AL PD in SEPTEMBER (NET NEWS 9/14).
"After speaking with so many qualified radio professionals, we decided ASHLEY was a perfect fit," said RENDA/JACKSONVILLE OM CHUCK BECK. "She brings incredible enthusiasm, energy, and knowledge to our stations, which is exactly what we wanted."
"This year has been the best of my career, with WKML becoming a finalist for three prestigious awards, as well as raising a record amount of money for ST. JUDE," WILSON told ALL ACCESS. "DEAN0 SEVERANCE has been instrumental in preparing me for the next step in my career, and I am extremely grateful for the opportunities provided by him and BEASLEY MEDIA GROUP. I'm looking forward to putting these skills to work at WGNE."
WILSON joins from BEASLEY Country WKML/FAYETTEVILLE, NC where she handled MD/morning duties (NET NEWS 1/5/15). She has been with WKML since JUNE 2014, originally signing on to handle Dir./Social Media and swing shifts. Previous experience includes time with CURTIS MEDIA Country WMMY/BOONE, NC. There is no word yet on plans for WILSON's successor back at WKML.
