Rich Boehne To Retire As Scripps Pres./CEO, Adam Symson Upped To COO

THE E.W. SCRIPPS CO. Pres./CEO RICH BOEHNE has announced his intention to retire from those posts, effective during the second half of 2017. Chief Digital Officer ADAM SYMSON will be upped to COO, reporting to BOEHNE, and is expected to become CEO upon BOEHNE's retirement. BOEHNE has been Pres./CEO of the company since 2008 and Chairman of the Board since 2013; he will remain Chairman after he exits the President and CEO posts. SYMSON joined SCRIPPS in 2002 and took over the digital operations in 2011.
