With longtime JAMES MADISON UNIVERSITY women's basketball radio voice DAVID TAYLOR retiring after 38 years at the end of last season, VALLEY SPORTS RADIO high school sports play-by-play service founder and syndicated Adult Standards "SEEMS LIKE OLD TIMES" host CRAIG ORNDORFF is taking over as play-by-play voice of JMU women's basketball on LEARFIELD's JMU/SPRINT BROADCAST NETWORK.
"It's a thrill to be joining the JMU broadcast team and to be chosen for a position at my alma mater," said ORNDORFF, who worked as a halftime and post-game reporter on the JMU SPORTS NETWORK in the '90s. "It's also a tremendous honor to succeed DAVID TAYLOR. It's impossible to put into words how integral David's presence was for the program and the DUKES' radio listeners. I'm looking forward to being part of the SEAN O'REGAN era as he continues to build on the success and excitement of JMU women's basketball."
The DUKES' women's basketball games air on SAGA Classic Rock WQPO-HD3-W261CV (V100.1)/HARRISONBURG, VA and Sports WHBG-A-W267BA (ESPN RADIO 1360 AM AND 101.3 FM)/HARRISONBURG, VA.
