TUNED IN BROADCASTING Triple A WRLT (LIGHTNING 100)/NASHVILLE is holding an open house party on WEDNESDAY (11/16). The party is celebrating that, as the invitation states, “We’ve played 76,000 songs, given 26,000 spins to amazing local artists, thrown over 300 parties, concerts and events, and hosted over 100,000 guests at our LIVE ON THE GREEN MUSIC FESTIVAL. We’ve partnered with over 500 local non-profits, painted schools, cleaned rivers, and more. And we’ve done it all with YOU to make NASHVILLE a better place.”
The station has been highly active in community affairs, raising $2.6 million in 2015 for 755 local nonprofits and enabling the serving of 478,000 meals for the needy.
TUNED IN President LESTER TURNER said, “Working with our community on outreach programs is an opportunity for us to get boots on the ground and meet our supporters. NASHVILLE’s rapid growth only helps us reach a larger and more diverse pool of potential listeners. It’s a rising tide and I think our staff does an extraordinary job with the resources that we have.”
