Former BELL MEDIA News-Talk CFRB-A (NEWSTALK 1010)/TORONTO host MIKE BULLARD has been charged with criminal harassment in the alleged stalking of crosstown CITY-TV reporter CYNTHIA MULLIGAN, with whom he had a relationship before what he told the TORONTO STAR was a "bad breakup."
After telling THE STAR that the charges arose from his calling her "twice after we broke up" and being confronted with allegations that he had sent hundreds of text messages and calls and had allegedly visited her home in violation of the court order, BULLARD told the paper, "OK, maybe I called her three or four times."
BULLARD, a comedian and former host of talk shows on CTV and GLOBAL and radio shows on CM CANADA and then-ASTRAL MEDIA News-Talk CHAM-A/HAMILTON, was charged in three phases, including criminal harassment charges on SEPTEMBER 21st, charges filed on OCTOBER 26th, and obstruction of justice charges entered on NOVEMBER 7th. He was taken off the air shortly after the first charges were entered on SEPTEMBER 21st and left the station on OCTOBER 5th. THE STAR says that its sources tell the paper that "there have been discussions about resolving the case with a peace bond" that would restrain BULLARD from approaching MULLIGAN but would end the case with no trial and no finding of guilt.
