MICKEY "MEMPHITZ" WRIGHT has been promoted from Dir./A&R to VP/A&R at ZOMBA LABEL GROUP. His current projects include the new album from rap group UGK; the debut from NORTH CAROLINA-based rapper MONEY OVER SEX; and ST. LOUIS-based rapper HUEY, who is signed to WRIGHT's label imprint, HITZ COMMITTEE.

"We are extremely happy to give MEMPHITZ this promotion," said ZLG Sr. VP PETER THEA. "MEMPH is a highly talented A&R executive. He has great A&R skills and an entrepreneurial spirit, which makes him a natural fit at ZOMBA. He is highly motivated and has a true winner's attitude. Prior to joining ZLG in 2004 WRIGHT was an A&R Consultant at ARISTA RECORDS.
