Vernon Irvin Named XM Chief Marketing Officer

VERNON IRVIN has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer at XM SATELLITE RADIO, effective NOVEMBER 14. He will oversee XM's strategic marketing efforts with responsibility for a number of operating groups, including media and brand marketing; retail, direct and partnership marketing; and marketing operations, which includes service offerings, pricing, retention and market research.
A 20-year marketing veteran, IRVIN joins XM from VERISIGN, where he has served since 2003 as Exec. VP/GM of the company's communications services group. Before VERISIGN, IRVIN was Exec. VP of Communications, Media and Entertainment for AMERICAN MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS.
