Sony Music Names Andre Stapleton SVP/Digital Partner Development

SONY MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT has named ANDRE STAPLETON SVP/Digital Partner Development. STAPLETON will work on initiatives with SONY MUSIC's largest digital partners to maximize revenue and growth on a worldwide basis. He also will lead the Partner Development team with offices in LONDON, LOS ANGELES and NEW YORK, where he will be based.

"ANDRE is ideally suited to take on this key position as our digital partnerships propel SME’s business as a whole to evermore solid growth," EVP/Global Business Development And Digital Strategy MARK PIIBE said. "His proven experience in business development across the digital music sector, coupled with strong relationships with our partners, will be instrumental as we continue to develop new business models that benefit our artists and labels across a wide variety of platforms and territories.

STAPLETON was most recently SVP/Global Business Development And Strategy, working closely with the Partner Development, Business Affairs and local and regional teams to identify new strategic digital music distribution opportunities.

He also was responsible for negotiating U.S., multi-territory, and global deals with both new and existing partners to grow SME’s digital business.

Prior to that, STAPLETON spent three years as VP/Global Business Development. He was also Sr; Dir./International Digital Business Development, and Dir./International Digital Business Development.
