'Closing Time' For KDGE In Dallas

iHEARTMEDIA Alternative KDGE (102.1 THE EDGE)/DALLAS is teasing a format flip for THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 17th at 5p.  ALL ACCESS has learned that the station began airing a loop of SEMISONIC "Closing Time" and R.E.M. "It's The End Of the World As We Know It" this afternoon at 3p, marking the end of 27 years of THE EDGE in DALLAS.

The KDGE website is redirecting EDGEHEADS to sister Activer Rocker KEGL (97.1 THE EAGLE).

KDGE has the following message posted on FACEBOOK: "The sound of THE EDGE is moving to 97.1 THE EAGLE. Listen THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 17th at 5pm for the new sound of 102.1"

Morning host ATOM SMASHER, AM sidekick SHAWNDA MCNEAL, and longtime afternooner JESSIE have exited THE EDGE.
