The SUMMITMEDIA Country WQNU/LOUISVILLE morning team is working to collect bikes for TOYS FOR TOTS with their "BIKES OR BUST" event. Morning show co-host DINGO is perched in a lift above BUFFALO WILD WINGS for 103 hours -- until MONDAY, NOVEMBER 21st -- in an attempt to collect as many bikes as possible for the organization. Meanwhile, WQNU APD/MD/morning show co-host JESS TYLER is back at the station manning phones and collecting stories from listeners.
TYLER received one very special donation this MORNING (11/18) as she interviewed PEARL RECORDS artist GARTH BROOKS via phone. TYLER told BROOKS why DINGO wasn't in-studio to speak with him, and asked BROOKS if he remembered his first bike. "I told him what we are doing and asked him to share a story of his first bike," TYLER told ALL ACCESS. "Well, he did that AND pledged ten bikes for every hour DINGO is in the lift. That's 1,030 bikes total from GARTH and TRISHA [YEARWOOD]." Listen to BROOKS' call here.
