Sean Hannity Tops NY Observer's 'Rich List' Of NYC TV News Anchors, Leslie Moonves Tops Media CEOs

THE NEW YORK OBSERVER's annual "Rich List" of top-paid New Yorkers in TV news was topped this year by SEAN HANNITY, said by the OBSERVER to be earning $29 million in annual salary. During the presidential campaign, HANNITY, a supporter of President-elect TRUMP, was critical of "overpaid" media members, saying on SEPTEMBER 27th that "well, they have their chauffeured limousines, they like their fine steakhouses and expensive wine lifestyles.” 

Following HANNITY on the list are NBC's MATT LAUER, FOX NEWS CHANNEL's BILL O'REILLY, ABC's ROBIN ROBERTS, FOX NEWS CHANNEL's MEGYN KELLY, CNN's ANDERSON COOPER, FOX NEWS CHANNEL's SHEPARD SMITH, ABC's GEORGE STEPHANOPOLOUS, MSNBC's RACHEL MADDOW, and ABC's DAVID MUIR.

Atop the list of top paid media CEOs is CBS' LESLIE MOONVES at $56.8 million, followed by FOX NEWS/NEWS CORP.'s RUPERT MURDOCH, NBC UNIVERSAL's STEVE BURKE, DISCOVERY's DAVID ZASLAV, TIME WARNER's JEFF BEWKES, SIRIUSXM's JAMES E. MEYER, 21ST CENTURY FOX's JAMES MURDOCH, NEWS CORP.'s ROBERT THOMSON, THOMSON REUTERS' JAMES SMITH, and THE NEW YORK TIMES CO.'s MARK THOMPSON.

The musicians list is headed by PAUL MCCARTNEY at $1.2 billion, followed by SEAN COMBS, MADONNA, JAY Z, MICK JAGGER, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, KEITH RICHARDS, NEIL SEDAKA, JON BON JOVI and SEAN ONO LENNON.
