FCC Press Secretary KIM HART is leaving the Commission to join a new startup being launched by POLITICO co-founder JIM VANDEHEI, reports RECODE.
HART worked for VANDEHEI at POLITICO and will leave the Commission on DECEMBER 2nd, joining the as-yet-unnamed company on DECEMBER 5th to handle a beat that involves "the collision of business, technology and politics," VANDEHEI said. HART told RECODE she will be working "in parallel" with former FORTUNE reporter DAN PRIMACK, with THE HILL tech reporter DAVID MCCABE reporting to her.
VANDEHEI's new project has backing including $10 million from LERER HIPPEAU and more from LAURENE POWELL JOBS' EMERSON COLLECTIVE and NBCUNIVERSAL.
