WFUVNew York Returns With Its Annual Thanksgiving Feastival

FORDHAM UNIVERSITY Triple A WFUV/NEW YORK returns with its marathon of exclusive live performances over the THANKSGIVING holiday they call the THANKSGIVING FEASTIVAL.

Starting at 6p on WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 23rd and continuing on through late FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 25th, WFUV will air more than 20 hours of FUV Live concerts recorded over the past year from venues both small and large, from the ROCKWOOD MUSIC HALL to the NEWPORT FOLK FESTIVAL.

These include BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN & THE E STREET BAND's record breaking AUGUST 30th concert at the METLIFE STADIUM; THE HEAD AND THE HEART (at CITY WINERY); MICHAEL KIWANUKA (at the CUTTING ROOM); NATHANIEL RATELIFF & THE NIGHT SWEATS (at the NEWPORT FOLK FESTIVAL), SHARON JONES & THE DAP-KINGS (at the BRIC CELEBRATE BROOKLYN! FESTIVAL); and recordings of this year's HOLIDAY CHEER FOR FUV artists (THE RECORD COMPANY, CORINNE BAILEY RAE, LUCINDA WILLIAMS and AMOS LEE).

And, of course, the ritual playing of Alice's Restaurant by ARLO GUTHRIE will also happen.

"Live concerts on the radio is one of the things that sets FUV apart from other stations," said WFUV PD RITA HOUSTON. "Our annual FEASTIVAL is like the Best of the Best from each year. This year's lineup on THURSDAY and FRIDAY is pretty special, but to add BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN's historic set as a bonus on WEDNESDAY night is sure to make this an even more memorable holiday weekend for all."
