GEORGIA resident JOE CHANDLER joined the cast of the nationally syndicated "The BERT Show" TODAY to officially find out the results of the just-concluded 2016 U.S. presidential election for the first time. CHANDLER is the south GEORGIA man who, two weeks after the election results, had been announced, still did not know the outcome of the presidential election.
"The BERT Show cast, including BERT WEISS, KRISTIN KLINGSHIM and BRIAN MOOTE, provided a “gender party” type of reveal, surprising CHANDLER with a box filled of red balloons for the REPUBLICAN PARTY. Upon learning the outcome, CHANDLER expressed his feelings for the first time about DONALD TRUMP's victory.
“I am distressed not so much that TRUMP is in office.” said CHANDLER, who went on to say, “I am distressed at how could AMERICA make this decision and I think the rest of the world is distressed about it, too.”
For the past two weeks, CHANDLER had fully committed to avoiding the announcement of the results. Before today,he had abstained from social media, television, and newspapers to avoid the political mayhem. He works from home as an artist and his daughter was his liaison to the outside world. When CHANDLER did venture out, he wore headphones and a sign around his neck that said, "I Don’t Know Who Won, Please Don’t Tell Me" to communicate to the general public that he was unaware of the results.
