ENTERCOM Top 40 KDND (107.9 THE END)/SACRAMENTO will host the inaugural "Wake Up Call Delivering CHRISTMAS" to collect toy donations for SIERRA FOREVER FAMILIES, an organization that helps place local foster children in permanent families.
Now until DECEMBER 8th, residents are encouraged to drop off an unwrapped toy at any SACRAMENTO or VACAVILLE-area CHICK-FIL-A location. Once toys start to be collected, the Wake Up Call will deliver them to selected area families, live on-air on 107.9 THE END, in the weeks leading up to CHRISTMAS.
"My eyes welled with tears when we announced that we are delivering CHRISTMAS to foster kids and families in our area," said KATIE BEERS, co-host of the Wake Up Call. "Knowing that we can put a smile on their little faces makes my heart so happy."
"Family is truly the greatest gift for the holidays," said CRYSTAL BROOKS, SIERRA FOREVER FAMILIES' public relations spokesperson. "On behalf of the children and families we serve, we thank the community for their generosity and kindness this holiday season."
