New Report Says Kanye West Will Remain Hospitalized

A new TMZ report indicates that KANYE WEST will not be released from UCLA MEDICAL CENTER today, as earlier reported. Now, word is that WEST remains unstable and there is no release date set.

Last week (NET NEWS 11/21), ALL ACCESS reported KANYE WEST had been taken to UCLA MEDICAL CENTER for psychiatric evaluation, according to a TMZ report. Law enforcement sources told the website that police responded to a call for a welfare check on the rapper around 1:20p; WEST wasn't at his home at the time."

Later, TMZ updated the status, noting "WEST has been in desperate shape this week ... paranoid and profoundly depressed, and he's been dealing with these issues for a long time ... sources close to KIM and KANYE tell TMZ. We're told after KANYE was taken to the hospital MONDAY he was convinced people were out to get him, including the doctors who were caring for him. Our sources say for a time he wouldn't even let the doctors touch him. Our sources say the paranoia has been building for months ... obviously going way beyond the stated reasons for the hospitalization ... dehydration and exhaustion."

Over the THANKSGIVING holiday weekend, sources told the website that WEST would be released today under the oversight of his personal doctor. Later, though, other sources report that WEST continues to struggle with "extreme paranoia -- at one point he would not even let the doctors touch him."

Wife KIM KARDASHIAN has remained by his bedside for the past week. US MAGAZINE adds, "KIM KARDASHIAN is nursing KANYE WEST back to health. The reality star has been sleeping by her husband's side and helping to feed him while he's in the hospital for exhaustion, a source close to the rapper exclusively tells US WEEKLY. 'KIM has been amazing,' the insider tells US. 'She knew he couldn't keep going the way he was. She has been by his side through all of this, helping to feed him and laying by his side'."
