NSAI Holds Annual Songwriter Awards

The NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS FOUNDATION (NSF) held its annual awards dinner in NASHVILLE on SUNDAY (10/22) and recognized some of the best songwriters in the business. JIMMY BUFFETT, HUGH PRESTWOOD and JIM WEATHERLY were given one of the highest honors a songwriter can receive, induction into the NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME.
NSF sister organization NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS ASSOC. INTERNATIONAL (NSAI) handed out the Songwriters Achievement Awards to the most deserving writers of 2006. JEFFREY STEELE was named Songwriter of the Year, and "Jesus, Take The Wheel," took home Song of the Year Honors.
