Kicking off what NASHVILLE Mayor BILL PURCELL dubbed "Celebrating Songwriters Week," ASCAP/NASHVILLE held its 44th annual awards last night (10/23).
Songwriter of the Year winners were BRETT JAMES and RIVERS RUTHERFORD, with Songwriter/Artist of the Year honors going to JOHN RICH. Country Song of the Year went to "Jesus, Take The Wheel," and the legendary JIMMY WEBB was given the Voice of Music Award. To see a full list of the honorees, click here.
