At least one person attending last NIGHT’s (11/30) otherwise successful, star-studded “CHARLIE DANIELS 80TH BIRTHDAY VOLUNTEER JAM” concert at NASHVILLE’s BRIDGSTONE ARENA apparently missed the “no assholes allowed” memo. As CAPITOL NASHVILLE artist LUKE BRYAN performed his recent hit, “Move,” a guy in the front row began flipping BRYAN a two-fisted bird, while another waved a not-so-nice, message-not-worth-mentioning sign.
BRYAN, having quite enough of the taunting, thank you very much, walked to the edge of the stage in mid-song, said “Come on” to the middle-finger-waving heckler, nonchalantly whacked him across the face with his microphone hand – then finished the tune. Security then helped the man go buh-bye. Check it out here.
On a more pleasant note, a portion of the proceeds from the night went to the THE JOURNEY HOME PROJECT, a non-profit co-founded by DANIELS and manager, DAVID CORLEW, to help Veterans of the UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES. For more info on THE JOURNEY HOME PROJECT, click here.
